For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
The Father loved you enough to give—not just some insignificant treasure but His most valued one—Christ, His son. Love is much more than a feeling. It is an action that is sacrificial in nature. Do you love your husband? Your children? Your mother? Your father? Do you love them enough to give not your leftovers but the best of what you have to offer of your time, your resources, your energy or your effort?
Make sure that those you say you love can point to an action that proves it.
