NEW YEAR 2010

In 2010 in all of your “changes” make sure you ask the Lord to:

“Change my thinking”… Philippians 4:8-9
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”

Whatever is true…We are to program our minds with things that are true
* Jesus loves me
* He died for me
* He rose from the dead
* He has promised me eternal life
* He has forgiven me from all my sins
Romans 8:1 – “there is therefore NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus”

Whatever is noble…
* He called me to the ministry
* He wants me to shepherd hundreds of people
* He wants me to lead my family in a way that honors Christ

Whatever is right…
* Run from sin
* Forgive others
* Love my wife
* Respect authority
* Give
* Lead with integrity

Whatever is pure…
* Personal holiness… keep my mind and body clean
* Love of others
* Servant leadership
* Helping those in need
* Putting Christ first

Whatever is lovely…
* God’s creation
* Beautiful sunrise and sunset
* Giving to others
* Helping the poor

Whatever is admirable…
* Helping others in need
* Calling the sick
* Praying for those in need
* Trying to make a difference in this city
* Putting the needs of others before yourself
* Giving beyond your means
* Rejoicing in trials
* Serving for the glory of Christ alone

Whatever is excellent…
* Doing your best at all times
* Working for Christ
* Our Care ministry
* So many serving with excellence

Whatever is praiseworthy…
* The matchless name of Jesus everyday!

No matter what you are going through, will you change your thinking and trust God in 2010?
